PIR Detection Sanitary Water Shut-Off Valves help clients achieve extra BREEAM points by ensuring the water supply to a room (or even just to certain high risk appliances) is only turned on when the room itself is in use.Once the room becomes empty again, the water supply is automatically turned off. This not only helps to save water normally wasted by leaking, faulty or vandalised taps, showers & WCs etc but can also help reduce the risk of flooding. As an extra bonus,our PIRs can also be used to control the lighting automatically if required.
"No-Touch" Hygienic Sensor Operated Controls for Taps, WCs, Showers, Urinals etc are proving increasingly popular with both designers, who like the stylish concept of these automatic products, but also with end users who have seen the financial benefits of the water & energy savings. For example, an office block swopped just 30 manually operated taps with 30 of our Sensor Operated Taps and confirmed savings of about 1,000,000 (1 million) litres of water per year, along with about 45,000 Kw of energy as now they have to heat so much less water.
For applications where the system is boosted or direct off the mains water supply, we offer Water Flow Regulators which will provide a constant flow rate to an appliance (tap, shower etc) irrespective of fluctuations in water pressure etc. Apart from providing large water savings by limiting the maximum amount of water per appliance – we have clients who have confirmed water savings of over 60% – they also help provide a more even distribution of water throughout the building, especially at peak demand periods. These products will also help achieve extra BREEAM points.
